Horseback riding is a skillset that will benefit your life in many ways. It teaches patience, perseverance, and most of all humility.  I strive to teach my students the in's and out's of horsemanship, which include everything from grooming, tacking, bathing, and riding.

Lesson types include western pleasure, western equitation, ranch riding, barrel racing, pole bending, and other playday events.

Riders can take a lesson on a lesson horse (spaces limited) or haul in their own horse for lessons.

Beginner Lessons

Beginner lessons are where you learn all the foundational tools for horsemanship. You'll learn grooming, bathing, tacking, haltering, and horse safety. While riding you'll learn how to walk, stop, turn left, turn right, 2 point, and how to sit properly. The majority of beginner lessons take place in the round pen or on a lunge line in the area.  As you become a more confident rider, you'll progress to trotting.

Intermediate Lessons

Once you've mastered all the basic horsemanship skills, you'll learn on technical skills with your horse. At the intermediate level riders learn how to control their horses cadence. We work on using our legs to move the horse left, right, forward, back, and even sideways! We also start learning about collection, which is an essential skill to moving up to a more advanced level of riding. Once riders have mastered the walk and trot, we begin learning how to lope.
