About the owner

Jessica Richards, owner and operator of Equilete, is a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist and Canine Massage Therapist based out of Northern Virginia. She was raised on a farm in Washington State where she grew up riding horses and hunting ducks and pheasants with the family’s hunting dog. For over 20 years Jessica actively showed horses in multiple disciplines including performance, barrel racing, calf-roping, sorting, jumping, and dressage.

Jessica’s background in competitive horse circuits and experience hunting with dogs gives her an edge in understanding the specific physical and mental demands required of horses and dogs competing in advanced disciplines.
